Walk Jog Riders must be a minimum of 7 yrs. old as of January 1st, 2010
Lead-Line and ANY Walk Jog riders may not cross enter in any other division.
Novice Riders:
Be a minimum of 19 yrs. old as of January 1st, 2010.
Have less than 25 Amateur and/or 10 Open National or NY Breed Assn. Points as of January 1st, 2010.
Can not have won Division or State 4-H Champion more than once.
May not be CHA or prior CHA members with 75 or more points lifetime CHA Novice points.
Novice Riders may not be paid trainers or instructors.
Youth Riders must be 18 yrs. old or younger as of January 1st, 2010
Youth Riders, less than 14 years of age as of January 1st, 2010 will be required to wear a ASTM F1163 Approved helmet, helmets will be inspected. Any Rider in any division may wear a helmet if they choose.
Youth Walk/Jog riders must be a minimum of 7 years old as of January 1, 2010. Riders 14 yeas of age and older who have shown in Youth Walk/Jog for any 3 years must move up to the next appropriate division.
Youth Riders may not show a Stallion in any class.
Open Trail: To be run at a set time of day NOT in the show arena. Will have a separate Judge. Can be ridden English or Western. No points and no year-end awards, ribbons will be awarded. This will be an added money class.
Green Horse Class: Horses any age BUT can not have been shown in any Open/Breed/Assn. Shows at all - must be 1st or 2nd show year for the horse under saddle. Must adhere to traditional bitting rules.
All Riders in Open classes must be 8 yrs. or older as of January 1st, 2010
Post-entries must be done 3 classes in advance by the Rider ONLY – or in the case of participants 18 years of age and younger, a drop/add form signed by the parent or legal guardian must be utilized.
Anyone under 18 yrs. old must have parent or legal guardian sign their entry form.

Shows will not be cancelled except for lightning/arena conditions, NO REFUNDS for any class not canceled by Management
Proof of Negative Coggins (current 2009-2010) and current Rabies Vaccination is required for all horses
Any problems or complaints must be taken up with the CHA Show Rep - NOT THE JUDGE !
All open classes will be paid out 1st - 4th with ribbons only if 5 or less horses are in the class
Proper Show Attire is required for all Classes, all Divisions
Year End Awards
Members may join/rejoin at any point in the year. In order to be eligible for year end points, a membership must be paid for prior to earning points for a horse show and must complete volunteer requirements.
Show Entry Fee Payment – Pre-Entry
Any rider who takes advantage of the pre-entry option is liable for the stated amount of entry fees on their entry if they do not show up on the day of the show. A bill for this amount will be sent. If the rider is a member, member will stop earning points, lose voting privileges and members and non members will not be allowed another entry until this amount is paid in full. This debt can be carried forward to future show years.
